Cricket Betting at cricket apps — bet on BPL, IPL and T20 in every format
On the cricket apps platform you can place bets on any cricket format — T20, ODI or Test — both before a match starts and while it is in progress.
Three Formats of Cricket and Popular Tournaments
Twenty20 Cricket
Just 20 overs per innings — markets move fast in this high-speed format. BPL, IPL, the T20 World Cup and various domestic leagues are all played under T20 rules. Because the situation can change with every ball, live betting is most active in this format.
One Day International
Strategy matters more in this 50-over format. With longer innings, markets like run totals, partnership breaks and top wicket-taker are popular. Interest in this category is highest during Bangladesh Tigers matches.
Test Cricket
In this five-day format all three results — win, loss or draw — are possible. The extended duration gives markets multiple opportunities to shift. Betting on innings scores, series winners and total team wickets is most common here.
BPL, IPL and International Matches
At cricket apps, betting markets are available for all major tournaments — from Bangladesh's own BPL to India's IPL, the international T20 World Cup and ICC events. During the local season, Bangladeshi users are most active on BPL matches because familiar teams and players are on the field.
Alongside international matches, you will find markets for football, badminton and more on the sports betting page. Beyond cricket, football — especially Premier League and Champions League matches — is also popular here.
Popular Betting Markets — What Each One Involves
Match Winner
A bet on which of two teams will win — just one question to answer. There is no draw option in T20 or ODI, so only two choices are available. Example: you pick Team B in a Team A vs Team B match and stake ৳1,000.
Simplest MarketToss Winner
A bet on which team wins the coin toss before the match starts. The result has nothing to do with how well either team plays — it is entirely down to chance. Because it settles quickly, many people use it as a starting point.
Fast SettlementTop Batsman
A bet on which player within a team will score the most runs. The team's best batters naturally attract the most picks, so competition in this market is higher and odds tend to be a little lower.
Settles at End of InningsTotal Runs Over/Under
A bet on whether total runs will go above (over) or below (under) a set run line. Example: you back Team A to score over 165 runs — if they reach 166 or more, you win.
Line BettingTop Wicket-Taker
A bet on which bowler will take the most wickets in the match. The mix of spinners and pace bowlers along with the nature of the pitch makes this market interesting. If no wickets are taken, stakes are generally returned.
Bowling FocusMulti Bet
Combining multiple selections into a single bet — if all of them win, the return multiplies. But if even one loses, the entire bet is lost. Example: bet on three separate matches and get combined odds of 4.03.
Higher Return, Higher RiskFirst Over Runs Market: A bet on how many total runs will be scored in the first over of a match — usually set as an over/under on a specific number. Interest in this market tends to be higher when the opening bowler is well known.
How to Read Odds — Three Formats
Match odds can be written in three ways — decimal, fractional and American. All three express the same information in different forms. The cricket apps platform generally uses decimal format, which is the easiest to read.
Example 1 — The same odds in all three formats:
If you back Team A to win, on a ৳1,000 bet:
If the bet wins, total return is ৳3,000 (৳2,000 profit + original ৳1,000 stake). If it loses, ৳1,000 is gone.
Example 2 — Odds on the favourite:
If you back Team B to win, the odds are decimal 1.80 = fractional 4/5 = American -125.
On a ৳1,000 stake the return is ৳1,800 (profit ৳800). American minus odds show how much you need to stake to win ৳100.
In a multi bet, the odds of each selection are multiplied together. Three selections at 1.40, 1.60 and 1.80 give combined odds of 1.40 × 1.60 × 1.80 = 4.03 (approximately). A ৳100 bet returns ৳403 — but all three selections must win.
Odds Shift When a Wicket Falls — In-Play Betting
You can still place bets after a match has started — this is called in-play or live betting. It is one of the most active sections on cricket apps. Odds update instantly at the end of each over, when a wicket falls, or after a big shot.
For example, if Team A started well but lost two wickets in the 15th over, the odds on Team B could shorten at that moment. Reading live odds well requires an ability to follow the flow of the match, not just quick reactions.
In-play markets cover runs in the next over, who takes the next wicket and the total score at the end of the innings. Keep in mind that live markets close quickly, so staying focused is important.
How Betting Works in Other Sports
In cricket a draw is uncommon (almost impossible in T20 and ODI), so the market is straightforward — pick one of two teams. In football three outcomes are possible — win, loss or draw — so the odds structure is slightly different.
In badminton or tennis there is no draw, but markets like set score and game total are available. Full details on all these sports are on the sports betting section at cricket apps — football, badminton and more are available beyond cricket.
One thing is common across all sports — understanding odds helps you understand the value of a bet. If you are already comfortable with cricket odds, applying that knowledge to other sports is straightforward.
Some Practical Tips Before You Start Betting
- Start with one market: If you are betting for the first time, choose a simple market like match winner or toss winner. Read the rules carefully before moving on to more complex markets.
- Keep a separate budget: Set aside a fixed amount for betting — do not use money needed for household expenses. Betting is a form of entertainment, not a source of income.
- Compare odds: Before placing a bet on a market, look at the odds and try to understand which team the platform considers the favourite.
- Be patient in live betting: Rushing in in-play markets leads to poor decisions. Because odds change quickly, waiting sometimes gives you a better value.
- Read the terms and conditions: Before claiming a bonus, read the terms and conditions once — understanding the wagering requirements avoids confusion later.
- Take breaks: Avoid betting for long stretches without a break. It is easier to make decisions with a clear head. Reading the responsible gaming guidelines can also help.
